    Progressive Assessment Testing Reading/Numeracy

    Progressive Assessment Testing Reading/Numeracy

    As part of our commitment to your daughter’s education, the College will implement Progressive Achievement Testing in Numeracy (PAT-N) and Reading (PAT-R). Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER) developed the tests to provide and validate student achievement and understanding as they progress through their educational journey.

    Why are we using PAT-R and PAT-N?
    The tests will provide point-in-time data to:

    • Highlight individual strengths and areas of weakness.
    • Provide longitudinal data of the College’s strength and area of growth.
    • Inform teaching practice.
    • Increase the level of differentiation within the classroom.
    • Improve the specificity of learning goals.
    • Measure growth from one year to the next.

    Administration of PAT-R and PAT-N

    The test will take approximately 1 hour and consist of 40 questions. The students will need their laptop, a pen, and a blank piece of paper for any working out.

    Please note that the College Shop will be closed for its bi-yearly stock take on 27 and 28 November.

    Any orders placed for collection over this time can be collected on 3 December.
