School Attendance via the Parent Portal
School Attendance via the Parent Portal
Regular school attendance is essential for every student’s learning, growth and sense of belonging at Mount St Benedict College. Attendance is not simply a requirement; it is a foundational component of academic progress, strong relationships, and emotional wellbeing.
If students are going to be absent, parents should inform the College via Sentral in the College's Parent Portal by 8am, so we know if a student does not attend her first lesson that she is safe and cared for.
All leave, including sick leave, should be applied for via the College's Parent Portal. https://bennieslink.msb.nsw.edu.au/
- Log in to the BenniesLink Parent Portal https://bennieslink.msb.nsw.edu.au/
- Click on the Sentral tile on the BenniesLink dashboard or go to the Sentral Parent Portal https://www.msb.nsw.edu.au/about/parent-portal/
- Within Sentral, select the Absences button from the main menu on the left-hand side.
- Select Submit a Future Absence Request (green box).
- Complete the required fields and submit the request.

Study Hub Term Two Registrations Open
Study Hub Term Two Registrations Open
Registrations for Study Hub in Term Two are now open on Clipboard. After a very successful Term One, we are hoping to see even more students get involved with this great new initiative.
What is Study Hub?
Study Hub offers academic mentoring for Year 7 and 8 students from the unique perspective of former students who know the Bennies Learning Experience first-hand. The program helps students build confidence, strengthen essential skills, and develop positive study habits in a supportive environment.
Students can complete homework, work on revision tasks, or make progress on assessments. For those with afternoon cocurricular activities, Study Hub will provide a practical way to use time productively while waiting for programs to begin.
It takes place from 3:30 - 5:30pm with options to leave at 4:30, 5:00 or 5:30pm. It is held in the D100 classrooms from Monday - Thursday afternoons.

Term Two Experiential Learning Program Registration Open
Term Two Experiential Learning Program Registration Open
We are pleased to announce that registrations for the Term Two Experiential Learning Program are now open on Clipboard. Our cocurricular program offers a wide range of opportunities designed to support students’ academic growth, wellbeing and personal development. Students are encouraged to explore the offerings available and select activities that align with their interests.
Term Two Programs include:
Study Hub (Years 7–8)
Available Monday to Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm – 5:30pm, Study Hub provides a structured and supportive environment for students to complete homework, revise classwork and develop effective study habits with the support of staff.
Lunchtime Clubs
A variety of clubs will run throughout the term, including Minecraft Club, Dungeons & Dragons and Chess Club. These clubs provide students with opportunities to connect, collaborate and explore shared interests in a relaxed and social setting.
Debating – CSDA and Archdale Competitions
Students can participate in structured inter-school debating competitions, developing skills in public speaking, critical thinking and teamwork.
NEW: Esports Program
We are excited to introduce Esports to our program for the first time.
Esports provides students with the opportunity to participate in structured and supervised gaming in a positive and supportive environment. Esports is a rapidly growing field that connects with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) through strategic thinking, digital literacy, problem solving and teamwork.
Students will learn how to game responsibly and professionally using Nintendo Switch consoles while engaging in friendly competition with their peers.
Through strategic games such as Mario Kart and Just Dance, students will develop their ability to analyse situations, make quick decisions and collaborate effectively with others. The program also encourages students to think critically about game systems, strategy and performance while promoting positive digital behaviour in a safe and supportive environment.
There will also be an opportunity for students to represent Bennies in the Girl Gamers FUSE Cup in June, where students will compete against other girls’ schools from across the Sydney region in Mario Kart.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

The Year 11 Play - Tickets Now Available
The Year 11 Play - Tickets Now Available
Year 11 Drama are excited to present their production of The Playhouse by Kristen Doherty in Term Two Week Two for two performances on Thursday 30 April and Friday 1 May at 6pm in the Hildegard Theatre.
On a school excursion to the Globe Theatre, five wayward students slip away from their teacher and find themselves backstage. Unable to resist the lure of the costume rack, they try some on, but are spotted and chased into the tiring house, where a portrait of Shakespeare proudly dominates the space. The Globe’s motto is emblazoned on the frame:
'Totus Mundus Agit Histrionem' - The Whole World is a Playhouse.
The teens recite the iconic words and are suddenly thrust back in time to Shakespeare’s original Globe Theatre in 1599, where they are mistaken for actors, costume mistresses, nobility and groundlings (stinkards). The befuddled students are engulfed in the very first production of ‘As You Like It’ and thrust out on the streets of Ye Olde London Town. The group need to find their way back to each other and Shakespeare’s portrait if they are ever to return to their own time.
